Delhi Capitals will be going into their game against Rajasthan Royals in after losing their status as the only unbeaten team in the tournament. RR, on the other hand, have been going through a topsy-turvy season and are currently on a two-match losing streak.

DC's four-match win streak was snapped by MI in Delhi of all places. Tilak Varma's fifty, unconverted starts from Ryan Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav coupled with a cameo from Naman Dhir put MI in a strong position. Jake Fraser-McGurk was out on the first ball of the chase, and that brought out the in-form Karun Nair. Nair unleashed a devastating assault on the bowlers and when he left, it looked like DC had it in the bag. Nair's dismissal brought about a devastating collapse engineered by Karn Sharma that turned the match on its head. Eventually, each of DC's last three wickets fell to runouts and they had lost by 12 runs.

RR went down to RCB in their previous match which also happened to be their first match in Jaipur in IPL 2025. Yashasvi Jaiswal broke through the shackles of RCB's tight bowling and the lack of support from other batters to give RR a respectable total. Phil Salt took the bowling by the neck and managed to put RCB ahead of the game in the powerplay itself. Virat Kohli made a fifty to anchor the chase and Devdutt Padikkal put in the finishing touches to give RCB their fourth win of the season.
