Pahalgam Attack: How low will you stoop... Shikhar Dhawan showed Pakistani Shahid Afridi his place..

Send Push

Shikhar Dhawan has given a befitting reply to Shahid Afridi who made derogatory comments on the Indian Army. The former Indian cricketer has lashed out at former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi on social media.

Dhawan first reminded Afridi of the humiliating defeat he suffered at the hands of India in 1999 and then asked him, 'You have already stooped so low, how much lower will you go?' Dhawan also advised Afridi to stop making 'inappropriate' comments and focus on the progress of his country. He ended his post by expressing pride in the Indian Army.

Shikhar Dhawan wrote, 'We lost in Kargil too, you have already stooped so low, how much lower will you go, instead of passing unnecessary comments, it is better to focus on the progress of your country. I am very proud of the Indian Army. Bharat Mata Ki Jai!'

Earlier, former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria also targeted Afridi for his insensitive comments and urged Pakistan's national television channels not to give the former all-rounder a platform to speak. Reacting to Afridi's comments on April 28, Kaneria said, 'He has constantly associated himself with extremist ideas. In my opinion, he should not be given any platform on Indian television or within the country. Apart from this, he tried to persuade me to adopt Islam and refused to have food with me, which I found extremely insulting.'

Meanwhile, in protest against the Pahalgam attack, some more opposition MPs on Monday urged the government to call a special session of Parliament so that the collective resolve of the nation can be expressed unitedly. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while Communist Party of India (CPI) MP P Santosh Kumar wrote a letter to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and raised this demand.
