IPL 2025: 'Wedding Bells Around The Corner?', Asks Danny Morrison To Shubman Gill During Toss Ahead Of KKR vs GT Clash

Send Push

Former New Zealand cricketer Danny Morrison, who officiated the toss between the Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday at the Gardens, hilariously asked Shubman Gill about his marriage plans. Although Gill displayed a wide smile across his face, the right-handed batter denied any such plans.

The Punjab-born cricketer has been linked with Sachin Tendulkar's daughter Sara on quite a few occasions but neither of them have ever officially confirmed their relationship. Notably, Sara has come on several occasions to watch Gill's matches and applauded when the youngster reaches important milestones.

Meanwhile, during the toss, Morrison asked:

"You're looking good, wedding bells around the corner? Getting married soon?"

Gill responded by saying:

"No, nothing like that."

Shubman Gill announces an unchanged side but Kolkata Knight Riders win the toss

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss at the Eden Gardens and put the Gujarat Titans into bat, citing that the pitch looks dry at present. While Gujarat Titans have announced an unchanged side, Rahane proclaimed two changes to their line-up, bringing in Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Moeen Ali.

KKR playing XI: Rahmanullah Gurbaz(w), Sunil Narine, Ajinkya Rahane(c), Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, Moeen Ali, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy.

GT playing XI: Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(c), Jos Buttler(w), Sherfane Rutherford, Rahul Tewatia, Washington Sundar, Shahrukh Khan, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj.

The Knight Riders are out to revive their IPL 2025 campaign as they find themselves in the seventh position in the points table, having suffered a stunning defeat to the Punjab Kings in pursuit of 111.
