Arsenal have been told that they can profit from the Alexander Isak saga when they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool this weekend - just days before the end of the summer transfer window.
Isak, 25, has been linked with both clubs over the past few months after another stellar season at Newcastle. It is Liverpool, though, who still harbour hopes of signing the Swede in a what would be a British record transfer before the September 1 transfer deadline, with Isak doing his best to force a move.
Newcastle have been locked in a stand-off with their star striker, who is adamant he will not play for them again amid interest from Liverpool. The Premier League champions are expected to push for Isak between now and the end of the window - and former Arsenal defender Lauren reckons the distraction of Isak could help his old side in their bid to head back to north London with maximum points.
"You have to aim for three points and not think about a draw," Lauren told Aceodds.com. "Especially in the early moments of the season, when Liverpool, Arsenal, none of the players are at a hundred percent because you need a few more games to be at your best level.

"The momentum is good for Arsenal. They beat Man Utd away from home, and got three points against Leeds. I believe now is the moment to go and grab three points at Anfield.
"It will not be an easy game but I believe we are in a good position, mentally and in terms of quality. Also the way we play, and some players have been there for many years and been in this same situation. We are in a position and ready to win against Liverpool and hopefully go on to win the league."

"We hope the Isak situation can distract Liverpool but I just care about Arsenal getting the three points. It's all about the 90 minutes on the pitch. Sometimes problems are there but players don't care about that. Competitive players want to win."
Arsenal will be without Bukayo Saka against Liverpool with the England star set to miss around four weeks with a hamstring injury. Martin Odegaard could be available, though, after also sustaining an injury in the 5-0 win over Leeds on Saturday, while the club's new £67.5million signing, Eberechi Eze, is likely to make his debut.
