Emmerdale scene 'gives away' John Sugden's next victim in new target

There could be another victim on killer John Sugden's hit list after scenes this week on the soap.

On Thursday night we found out John had murdered Nate Robinson months ago, and had hidden his body in a sheet and dumped it in a stream. The body had made its way to the lake, which is where Amy Wyatt saw it before her own death back in February.

We saw flashbacks that confirmed exactly what happened to Nate during Thursday's episode, but that wasn't all. John has targeted multiple villagers including his future mother-in-law Chas Dingle, Jacob Gallagher, and possibly his own fiancé Aaron Dingle.

Not only did he set up Ella Forster and was the person really harassing Chas and her partner Liam Cavanagh, including messing with her medication and causing her overdose, but John also deliberately targeted Jacob. This twisted plan and a comment made this week by a villager could seal another victim is on his list.

With Jacob, John had found out from his sister Victoria Sugden that the medical student had a severe nut allergy. On Thursday we saw him steal is AAI pen before intentionally switching their coffees around, knowing Jacob would drink the one with almond milk in it.

As Jacob collapsed and lost consciousness after suffering from anaphylactic shock, John delayed helping him and covered his tracks, before rushing to play the hero. Luckily, no thanks to John, Jacob got the help he needed and survived.

Of course everyone was praising 'hero' John and no one suspected a thing. He'd just made sinister comments alluding to the fact he was deliberately harming people to then be able to save their lives.

He said there was nothing like saving a life, and that some people can't be saved. He also claimed "bringing someone back from the dead is the most rewarding thing in the ".

His comments and his clear plan, not to mention his sick actions with Jacob, could tease another resident is in danger. In fact if it follows his recent pattern, it could suggest the resident in question will be John's next target or victim.

Kerry Wyatt visited the GP surgery this week feeling unwell, and John assumed she was hungover. When Liam realised he hadn't tested diabetic Kerry's blood sugar level he reprimanded John and demanded a review on his care.

This rattled John and no doubt inspired his deadly plan for Jacob. Just like Victoria made a point about Jacob's health condition, Liam did the same about Kerry by pointing out she was diabetic.

So will John use this to target Kerry after leaving her in danger, after not being able to 'save' her this week? Might he feel the need to correct this mishap and save her like his other targets?

Knowing about her health condition, it could mark Kerry as his next target to save - but will he get caught out? Kerry made a comment to John after the incident saying "they couldn't finish her off no matter how hard they try" - so did this foreshadow John might kill her next?
