Coronation Streetwere this year's big winners at the Inside Soap Awards, taking home the biggest of awards. The ITV soap left BBC rivals EastEnders in their wake as they bagged the prestigious categories.
The long-running soap won the major award for Best Soap for the second year in a row. And there were also wins for a number of the soap's main stars in their own categories.
That included Jack P Shepherd, whose David Platt character on the Corrie cobbles was awards the gong for Best Comic Performance, while Lisa Swain star Vicky Myers scooped the Best Actress accolade.

At the ceremony, Inside Soap editor Sarah Ellis said: “It’s been an incredible year of drama, and the results in our Best Soap category were the closest they’ve ever been.
"Corrie’s win tops off a stellar year for the soap, and is no doubt helped by the huge popularity of Best Partnership winners Alison King and Vicky Myers, aka fan favourites Swarla.”
