Getting a haircut can work wonders for your self-esteem as well as jazz up your appearance. One man who embarked on a weight loss journey didn't waste time in booking a haircut, which his sister sorted out for him.
Richmond Barber, who boasts 2.2million followers on TikTok, is known for his mind-blowing haircut transformations. Based in Virginia, US, the barber often shares his trims on social media and just recently welcomed a bloke who feels like a completely different person following his cut. In a post online, it starts with the customer telling him "it looks really bad", to which he jokingly agreed.
Speaking about his recent accomplishments, he tells the barber: "I've been going through weight loss. I lost 20lbs in a month. It's my last year of college coming up.

"I'm trying to like get everything going bro. My hygiene, my grooming, all that s*** bro. My sister booked this for my birthday a few months ago.
"Bro I've never had a real hairstyle in my life. I kind of just go to the barbers bro and I kind of say 'yo cut it short'.
"I always end up looking like a thumb and s*** bro. What I can most about is volume, my s*** always look straight. It looks flat every single time, I do want to just look a bit more textured?"
Seconds later, the Richmond Barber tells him: "Are you ready to get this haircut going man?" But the customer admits: "Yeah but no. Nervous and excited bro."

"Dude I look like a completely different person. Holy s***. That's exactly what I wanted. I love it! It's giving me that new sense of confidence."
When the barber asks him what he'd rate the haircut, he simply answers: "Easy 10 bro," as he says: "You already know the plan bro, when I lose a few more pounds."
In the video, the barber transforms his client who arrived with long hair and a beard. Moments later, he's sporting a shorter haircut with a fade on the side – and his beard's all gone.
Since it was shared, it racked up over 7,300 likes and dozens of comments. One said: "Wow, really sick!" Another added: "My jaw drops every single time."
A third admitted: "Oooh nice, he looks handsome great bro." And a fourth added: "Complete different person."
