An 18-month-old toddler was tragically killed when she was at a campsite, an has heard. Mabel Elizabeth Baldini was with her family when she suffered severe head injuries in a collision.
Mabel, from Cheshire, was airlifted from the campsite with serious injuries from the "family-friendly site" at the foot of Snowdonia in North Wales. Paramedics took her to in Liverpool via air ambulance from the campsite but she died a short time later.
Coroner Kate Robertson said the provisional cause of death has been given as a "severe head injury" and that given the unnatural nature of the death she was opening an inquest.

She passed on her sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mabel and adjourned it pending further investigations. The Gwynedd inquest also heard Maria was born in Crewe on December 28, 2023.
Police previously said they were called to reports of a collision involving a girl and a vehicle on Bryn Gloch camping site at 10.20am last Monday, April 28.
An air ambulance along with other emergency services attended the incident at the Bryn Gloch caravan and camp site in Betws Garmon, near Beddgelert in Gwynedd. said they are investigating the cause of the collision and added that the girl's family are being supported by specially trained liaison officers.
Sergeant Simon Hughes of the Roads Crime Unit said: "Our profound sympathies remain with the girl's family at this extremely difficult time.
"They will now be supported by a specially-trained Family Liaison Officer." He added: "The investigation to establish the cause of the collision is well underway and I would like to thank all those who assisted on the site today."
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said at the time: "A child has died following a collision on a camping site near Caernarfon earlier today (Monday, April 28th).
"We received a 999 call at 10:20hrs to a report of a collision involving a one-year-old girl and a vehicle on the Bryn Gloch caravan and camp site in Betws Garmon.
"The emergency services were sent to the scene including the Air Ambulance, and the child was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool. Despite the best efforts of all involved, the child died at the hospital this afternoon. The Coroner has been informed." Ms Robertson adjourned the inquest to a later date.
