Scrambled eggs are a breakfast and brunch staple, and there's so many ways to enjoy them. Whether that's piled on top of avocado toast or stuffed into a bagel, you're always guaranteed a tasty meal - and they are very easy to make too.
For many people, whisking the eggs up and heating them gently in a pan with some butter is the go-to. However, according to the foodie experts at Good Food Everyday, a much more simple solution could be hiding in plain sight in your kitchen. If you want to make the creamiest scrambled eggs, ditch the frying pan altogether and fire up the microwave instead.
Chef Anna Glover recently took to Instagram to show off her foolproof method for creamy scrambled eggs, made in the microwave. Although it might sound bizarre, the chef's 'genius' trick is a quick and easy way to make this breakfast staple if you struggle with doing it on the hob.
Even better, you won't need to scrub away at a pan afterwards - just give your microwaveable dish a quick rinse and you're good to go.
People in the video's comments were full of praise for Anna's trick, with one person writing: "Been doing this for years! So easy to make and clean up afterwards."
Another said: "100% the best way to eat them...perfectly cooked."
Here's how you can make them at home.
To whip up a tasty portion of microwaved scrambled eggs, all you need to do is whisk a couple of eggs in a suitable container and add a knob of butter.
Then, simply microwave the egg in one-minute blasts, taking the container out each time to give it a stir and check the eggs aren't getting too overdone.
If, like Anna, you prefer your scrambled eggs to be softly set, five minutes should be enough to help you achieve that texture. However, for those who like their eggs a little firmer, add another minute to the cooking time.
Anna them placed the scrambled eggs on top of toast with added chives and chilli oil. Hailing it as a 'dreamy five minute lunch', she urged fans to share the recipe with any scrambled eggs fans in their lives.
