Worst House on the Street hit with same furious complaint minutes into Channel 4 show

Send Push

viewers were left confused moments into Worst House On The Street as the premise of the show didn't appear to match what they were seeing on screen. Sibling property experts Scarlette and Stuart Douglas were in Leicester to help a woman called Lianne turn her "worst house" into a habitable home so she and her father could move out of her brother Jonathan's house. However many people felt the house was already a decent property and felt the hosts were overselling the premise.

Taking to X with their complaints, one person wrote: @Channel4 I don't understand, it's hardly the worst house like their saying, it looks fine from the outside and not unlike all the other houses #worsthouseonthestreet. Another agreed commenting: "They're struggling to make this house seem awful when it's not really that bad! #WorstHouseOnTheStreet." A third chimed in: "These guys wanting everyone to believe a traditional house is ugly ... I wouldn't walk past that house and think rah that house is rough , come on guys fix up ! #worsthouseonthestreet."

Others took umbrage with Scarlette and Stuart's advice following their appraisal of the proprty. "No visible pendant (lght) in the dining room means rewire the house? Oh good lord, this pair! Utter nonsense. #worsthouseonthestreet." one penned.

"I wouldn't actually let Stuart and Scarlette in after that first visit with all their opinions about splashes of colour and doom talk #worsthouseonthestreet," another admitted.

Meanwhile another viewer added: "These guys really dont like when people what to decorate THEIR home their own way! #worsthouseonthestreet."

Lianne had a budget of just £25,000 to transform the property which both Scarlette and Stuart admitted was "tight" as she had big plans for the house.
