Jaipur: Jaipur airport served more than 60 lakh passengers in the year 2024-25, close to its maximum operational capacity, according to airport authorities. They said that before this, the highest passenger count was in 2018-19 at 54.71 lakh. In 2024-25, the passenger count was 60,67,105, which included 5,26,545 international passengers and 55,40,560 domestic ones.
"Terminal 2 of Jaipur airport, which is for domestic flights, has a capacity for 5 million passengers, while Terminal 1 for international flights has a capacity for 1.25 million passengers. With the latest passenger count, we have almost reached the maximum capacity of both terminals. The passenger count will increase further as more destinations are being connected to Jaipur," said a senior airport official Sunday.
Officials added that last year, a separate terminal was started for international flights due to increasing passenger movement. There was a significant rise in international passengers from 2023-24 to 2024-25, with over 1.12 lakh more, while domestic passengers increased by 4.86 lakh.
Combining scheduled and non-scheduled flights, a total of 52,693 aircraft movements were recorded in 2024-25, averaging 72 flights per day. Officials said passengers are set to increase further as flight connectivity is proposed for Noida, Nagpur, and Hindon during the summer schedule. Flight services have also resumed for Kullu.
Currently, an average of 70 flights are operated daily from Jaipur airport.
