Kottayam: Relatives of Adv Jismol, who died by suicide along with her two minor daughters, have demanded a probe to find the real reason behind the incident. Father of the deceased, Thomas, and her brother Jittu raised this demand on Thursday. They alleged that Jismol was subjected to mental harassment by her husband Jimmy, mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
They also said that something serious happened on the day before the suicide which needs to be found out. Thomas said that he would go to any extent to find the truth. They also said that a wound found on the Jismol's head a few months ago, which she said was sustained after her head hit a door, was from an assault by Jimmy. They further alleged that the money Jimmy gave her to start an office was asked to be returned within a week. She was also banned from taking part in the family functions, they alleged. The mother-in-law and sister-in-law, who stayed with the family, used to harass her, they claimed.
In the light of such incidents, the relatives wanted to find the real provocation that led Jismol to take the extreme step. TNN
