Chasing a massive 222, MI stayed in the contest till the final over, needing 19 runs. But Krunal Pandya , in a dramatic finish, picked up three wickets — Mitchell Santner, Deepak Chahar, and Naman Dhir — to seal the match for RCB and finish with figures of 4/45.
Earlier, MI were rescued by Tilak Varma (56) and Hardik Pandya (42) after a top-order collapse, stitching an 89-run stand for the fifth wicket. But the late-over drama proved too much to overcome.
RCB’s strong start to the season continues, while MI’s struggles leave them in desperate need of a turnaround.
