Tyron Smith , the reliable offensive tackle, has officially hung up his cleats, signing a one-day contract to wrap up his remarkable career with the Dallas Cowboys . After 14 seasons, Smith established himself as a key player on the Cowboys ' offensive line, earning eight Pro Bowl nods and starting every one of the 171 games he played. His retirement ceremony took place at the Cowboys' facility in Frisco, Texas, signaling the end of a significant chapter for both Smith and the team.

Tyron Smith was picked ninth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2011 NFL Draft and quickly became a key player on the offensive line. With a height of 6 feet 5 inches and a weight of 320 pounds, his athletic ability and technique really set him apart from the rest. His achievements include two First-Team All-Pro selections (2014, 2016), three Second-Team All-Pro honors (2013, 2015, 2023), and recognition on the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.





During his 13 seasons at the Cowboys Smith developed a reputation as both a consistent performer who provided stable leadership to the team. During his entire time with the Dallas Cowboys Smith appeared in every game while serving as a defensive barrier for quarterbacks and becoming a mentor to his younger offensive linemate colleagues. The NFL injuries Smith sustained after his peak did not diminish his loyalty to his team throughout his 13-season Cowboys career. His first injury depended on 2020 when he suffered from a neck problem while his hamstring problem emerged in 2022.

During 2024, Smith entered a one-year agreement with the New York Jets before starting ten games. The brief period he spent with the team made him understand his genuine passion for football all over again. Although he gained great achievements with the New York Jets he decided to end his career with the Cowboys since they held the deepest meaning for him.
