When is Days Gone Remastered coming to PS5? Here's the lowdown!

Send Push
Biker gangs, Freakers, and the Pacific Northwest — yup, Deacon is back. If you've been holding out for a Days Gone glow-up, your wait is almost over. The remastered version of the cult-favorite post-apocalyptic open-world survival game is officially dropping on PlayStation 5 on April 25, 2025.

What’s the Hype About? Days Gone on PS4 was already a wild ride. But the remastered version? It’s on a whole new level. Built specifically for the PS5, this version flexes enhanced graphics, beefed-up lighting, and faster frame rates that make slicing through Freakers feel buttery smooth.

You also get to choose your vibe with two modes:

  • Performance Mode – silky smooth FPS
  • Quality Mode – crisp visuals for the photo mode addicts
And speaking of vibes — DualSense support is fully here. You’ll literally feel Deacon’s bike rumble beneath you, the snap of a crossbow, and even the soft patter of rain. Immersion = maxed out.
New Game Modes to Keep You SweatingThis isn’t just a prettier version of the same old ride. Days Gone Remastered is dropping brand new game modes that are equal parts wild and masochistic:

  • Horde Assault Mode: Think you’ve mastered the horde? Try surviving waves of Freakers and other enemies in this new arcade survival mode. Bigger hordes. More chaos. Endless bragging rights.
  • Permadeath Mode: One life. One shot. No do-overs. Can you finish the story without dying once? This one’s for the real masochists out there—and yes, there’s a special Trophy waiting for you if you pull it off.
  • Speedrun Mode: Blast through the story as fast as possible and flex your best time online. Nitrous engaged.
  • Upgraded Photo Mode: For all you virtual photographers—better lighting, more filters, time-of-day controls, and logo overlays. Freakers have never looked this cinematic.

Price, Upgrades & Pre-Orders
  • Release Date: April 25, 2025
  • Price: $49.99 USD (full game) or $10 USD upgrade if you own the PS4 version
  • PS4 Disc Owners: You’ll need your disc to play the remaster unless you’re on a digital-only PS5 (in that case, no upgrade for you)
  • Available on PC too—with all the new content as DLC!
So whether you’re revisiting Deacon’s story or riding into it for the first time, one thing’s for sure: the Freakers are back, and the Broken Road is calling.
