NEW DELHI: The Union women and child development ministry will run the seventh edition of Poshan Pakhwada from April 8 to 22, with a renewed push towards tackling malnutrition and promoting healthy lifestyles . This year's campaign will focus on four critical themes -- the first 1,000 days of life, popularising the Poshan Tracker's beneficiary module, community-based management of malnutrition, and addressing childhood obesity through lifestyle changes.

Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur will inaugurate the programme with a nationwide webcast, addressing officials from 18 partner ministries, state women and child development departments, and Anganwadi workers, according to an official statement.

Union Women and Child Development Minister Annpurna Devi will visit Arunachal Pradesh in the first week to assess ongoing nutrition and child welfare initiatives.

Her visit underscores the government's emphasis on regional outreach and targeted support to vulnerable groups, according to the statement.

The campaign, part of the broader Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, aims to strengthen service delivery and community participation through village-level health drives, home visits and awareness camps.
